Uses of Medical Marijuana

The approved uses of Medical Marijuana as stated in Arizona Revised Statute 36-2801 are:

  • Cancer
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV(+)
  • AIDS
  • Hepatitis C

 

  • Chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that causes one or more of the following:
    • Cachexia or wasting syndrome
    • Severe and chronic pain
    • Severe nausea
    • Seizures characteristic of epilepsy
    • Lou Gehrig’s disease/Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
    • Crohn’s disease
    • Agitation of Alzheimer’s disease
    • Severe persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Other medical conditions or its treatment can be added by public petition and subsequent approval by the Department of Health as stated in Arizona statute 36-208.01
